Details

Fragrant sumac is a low-growing thicket forming shrub with beautiful aromatic foliage. The leaves are trifoliate, light green, and change to shades of orange, red and purple in the fall. Tiny yellow flowers appear in early spring. Female flowers will produce little red berries in the summer that are attractive to wildlife. Male catkins can either be found on the same plant, or on separate plants, and bloom in the spring. The spreading shrub will grow to 2-4 feet tall with a spread of 10 feet.
