Details

In mid-summer, pinkish white spherical inflorescences orbit this large shrub which is native to much of the US. Selected from a native stand in Oklahoma for its larger flowers to 1.5 inches, a longer blooming season with nice form, and glossy foliage. Normally grows near water, best suited for moist to wet soils. Named for the first artificial satellite, launched by Russia 50 years ago on October 4, 1957.
