‘Skeeter’s Broom’ is a dwarf maple that was found as a broom off of ‘Bloodgood’. This sport is known to grow upright and narrow, while boasting intensely red palmate leaves. The foliage will remain in the family of reds, first leafing out a bright red, then maturing to shades of maroon, then transitioning to shades of flaming hot red in the fall. This sport has been recorded to reach 15’ by 15 years, though most mature at 5-6’ tall and 4-5 ‘ wide. ‘Skeeter’s Broom’ is a perfect addition to any home or landscape, though especially perfect for those intending to find a narrow growing maple with intense color displays.
