RareFind Nursery Staff
Our staff consists of a small group of dedicated enthusiasts who care a great deal about growing great plants and providing excellent customer service. Their backgrounds and interests may be varied, but their commitment to excellence is not.
BETH WELSH, joined us in March of 2016. Along with her passion for plants and the environment, Beth has strong customer service and organizational skills that she applies to many areas of our operation. She has an Associate of Science degree from Ocean County College along with a BA in Business Administration, Entrepreneurial Studies & International Business from Rider University.
HOPE CAHILL, is certified in Aquaponics (Nelson & Pade) and in multiple areas of Landscape Management (Rutgers). She joined us late Fall 2015 and will be putting her many skills to work in all of our departments as needed.
IRVING "Irv" J. PAULUS, General Manager. Irv handles the finance, marketing and general management of the nursery. His BS in Economics from Wheeling, and an MBA in Marketing from FDU as well as his life experiences have proven invaluable to the nursery.
JERRY VAN DE SANDE, Propagator, has been a rhododendron enthusiast for many years and worked for Betty Cummins as a propagator before coming to RareFind. He holds a BA in English from Rutgers and taught for over 30 years. His retirement "job" is with RareFind where he does carpentry and helps with sales and propagation.
KATHERINE "Kitty" HLUBIK joined us "part time" in 2009. She has a BS in Plant Science from the University of DE. She and her husband own Backacres Farms, a 1500 acre grain farming operation. Kitty oversees shipping, order procurement and processing. She is also instrumental in producing our catalog.
KERIANN SCOTT, joined us in July of 2016, she has a BS in Biology, specializing in Environmental Science and a Masters in Business Administration. She’s worked in the nursery trade and the public garden sector of the horticulture industry.
