General Information on Shipping

Please note: your order will be shipped during the WEEK of your preferred ship date. We try to ship orders going far away on Mondays and Tuesdays, so if you live closer to New Jersey your order may not ship until later in the week.

Most orders will be sent by UPS Ground or by FedEx Ground. Fed Ex Home Delivery may deliver on Saturday as well. UPS and FexEx cannot deliver to a PO Box. Very small orders may be sent US Postal Service Priority Mail. Please specify if you have a shipper preference. We cannot guarantee shipment by your requested shipment date, but will try our best to accomodate your wishes.

We ship orders whenever we feel the weather is suitable, even through July and August if it is cool enough. If you need to receive your order by a certain date, please state on your order by filling out the "Comments" field during checkout.

We know, shipping costs always seem high, but there is much more to shipping your order besides the actual transportation costs. Processing your order involves paperwork, pulling, wrapping and packing your plants. We do try to keep shipping costs to a minimum, despite annual increases from UPS and other major carriers. We have divided the states into zones and assigned charges which will achieve this goal.

Shipping is calculated as a percentage of your order's subtotal.

For orders that ship to CT, DE, DC, MD, NJ, NY, PA, MA, ME, NC, NH, OH, RI, SC, VA, VT, WV, we charge 25% of your order's subtotal with a minimum shipping charge of $10.00 (whichever is greater).
For orders that ship to AL, GA, FL, IN, IL, KY, MI, TN, we charge 25% of your order's subtotal with a minimum shipping charge of $12.50 (whichever is greater).
For orders that ship to all other states (except AK, AZ, CA, HI, OR, WA, or OUTSIDE THE US), we charge 30% of your order's subtotal with a minimum shipping charge of $15.00 (whichever is greater).
We cannot ship to Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington or outside of the US.
When purchased with plants, books and labels cost $1 additional per item to ship. Purchased without plants, books and labels cost $5 for the first item to ship and $1 additional per item to ship.
All RareFindNursery.com orders ship UPS Ground's unless special arrangements are made before an order is placed.
