BUXUS sempervirens 'Dee Runk'
|
Description: A seedling from the Blandy Experimental Farm and named for a former dean of students at the University of Virginia. This is a larger growing boxwood that forms a tall tight column up to 10 feet yet only 2 feet wide. It grows fairly rapidly at almost 6” a year. The
leaves can get 1 inch long and 3/8 inch wide and are a glossy
dark green. 'Dee Runk' can provide a dramatic garden accent
or be spaced apart in a row like columns at the back of a
border. Plants will quickly develop into remarkable garden
exclamation points.
