BUXUS microphylla 'John Baldwin'
|
Description: (An open pollinated seedling found in Colonial Williamsburg).
“John” is a medium growing boxwood that reaches the height of 4 feet in twenty-five years. It is a more open growing boxwood with an upright twiggy shape. The tiny obovate leaves (average 1/2" long) are a medium green with a subtle bluish cast. Can take direct sun but also does well in light shade. 'John Baldwin' can be used as a back-of-the border specimen and is also good for informal hedging.
