Description: Take a fabulously ornamental small tree and squeeze in yet another seasonal feature. The new foliage is bright gold in spring maturing to green and then turns bright red in fall. Two to two and a half inch flowers look like little white camellias, heavily flushed with red when opening. A strong growing tree to 18 feet. May be more heat tolerant than S. pseudocamellia.
