PANICUM amarum "Cuttyhunk strain"

Size 1 gal. - $15.00

Description: This strain was found growing on Cuttyhunk Island in Massachusetts during one of Jerry van de Sande's surf-fishing expeditions. He collected seeds and brought them back for propagation. This salt tolerant plant grows in the high marsh where the duration of tidal flooding is shortest, but it's a very versatile plant that can grow under varied cultural conditions. Growth habit is upright and displays a wonderful cloud of seed heads. Great fall color and winter persistence.
