ARONIA melanocarpa 'Viking'
|
Description: Selected in Europe for commercial use of its large, blue-black 5/8
inch fruit produced in large clusters. We like it as an ornamental.
It grows 3-6 feet high, 6-8 feet wide, has very glossy,
unblemished, 3 inch rounded, deep green leaves turning
brilliant red in fall, and those clusters of fruit hang on late in
the season unless they get turned into jam or bird food.
