R. (AZALEA) DECIDUOUS canadense var. album
|
Description: We are probably one of the only nurseries to offer this, the rare white-flowered form of the lovely native Rhodora; foliage is paler green than the purple form. Best in cooler climates- does not like hot summers. Not recommended for zones higher than 5 unless you plant it in a bog. Found along cuts in woods and swampy areas, with twisted greyish branches. Rarely offered. Best in cooler climates. Not recommended for zones higher than 5 unless planted in a bog. R. canadense isn't really happy in a regular garden situation. It likes cooler climates and most importantly very wet conditions, ie bogs and swamps. If you do not have these condition, we do not recommend R. canadense and will not guarantee this plant.
