Hybridized/Introduced By: Dr Francis de Vos/William Kosar US National Arboretum Parentage: liliflora 'Nigra' X stellata 'Rosea'
Description: One of the famous 'Little Girls' Series introduced in 1965 by the US National Arboretum. Very useful for their smaller stature, to only around 15 feet. 'Ricky' has red-purple flowers, six inches across, whose petals twist. The tree is vigorous and upright growing.
