MAGNOLIA 'Gorgeous'
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Phil Savage/Dennis Ledvina Parentage: (acuminata X sargentiana var. robusta)
Description: Pink flowers like its pollen parent. Blooms later than sargentiana robusta which is a real advantage and it certainly is hardier than its pollen parent. We've noticed that at least on our young plants, leaves are larger than most and fairly round. They have a striking bronzy color when young that holds for some time after expanding. The original tree is at the former Savage property which is slated for development(08).
