UVULARIA grandiflora
|
Description: Beautiful, yet little-known Eastern woodland native in the lily family. Bright green stems emerge in spring like clumps of asparagus, clothed in drooping lance shaped leaves. The tips of the stems droop, as do the bright yellow flowers that have narrow petals about 2 inches long which twist. Clumps slowly expand by rhizomes. Partial shade, woodland conditions.
