ILLICIUM floridanum 'Semmes'
|
Description: This selection has the typical star-shaped flowers though in white instead of the typical deep red. They show up nicely against the dark green lance-shaped foliage. Wonderfully fragrant foliage is very resistant to deer browsing. Illiciums are great evergreen shrubs that deserve wider use for hedges or specimen plants in partial to full shade. Moist to normal soils preferred, the more sun, the more water they need.
