CORYLOPSIS spicata 'Aurea'
|
Description: This may be the same plant as the cultivar 'Golden Spring'. We're not sure. Either way, bright yellow leaves follow the showy early yellow flowers and keep partially shaded corners of the garden bright. Best sited in a cool spot to delay breaking dormancy as long as possible, as the early flowers can be frozen by frost, especially so in the colder zones. Appreciates soil with adequate moisture, and some shade will keep the leaves looking good. 6 x 6 feet. Zones 6-8.
