CHAMAECYPARIS obtusa 'Confucius'
|
Description: Found by Duncan & Davies Nursery in New Zealand about 1984. It grows faster than 'Aurea Nana' but is 2/3 the height of 'Aurea'. A new dwarf selection that has the unique characteristic of having bright yellow foliage overlap a deep emerald green foliage. Its conical yellow flat sprays of evergreen foliage turn orange in winter. An overall nice dense form makes this one a winner.
