Hybridized/Introduced By: Fleming Bothers
Description: Bred by the three late Fleming brothers in the harsh climate of Nebraska. These little “Myrtlettes” (as the Flemings called them) are novel primarily for their extreme cold hardiness, but also for their numerous sturdy blooms from midsummer till frost, compact spreading habit with heavy branching, and vigorous and uniform growth habits. Stems will die back to ground level in the coldest zones, but will regrow from the roots in late spring. Spring planting recommended. Clear violet flowers on this variety which is somewhat more dwarf than the others.
