CALYCANTHUS floridus 'Michael Lindsey'
|
Description: Cognoscenti consider this variety to be the best selection of this species for its combination of reliably fragrant reddish brown flowers, nice glossy leaves, and dense, compact, globe-shaped habit. Fruity scented flowers begin in late May and are long- lasting. Fall color is a nice butter yellow. Introduced by Allen Bush of the former Holbrook Farm Nursery in Fletcher, NC, and named for an employee's son.
