ACER shirasawanum 'Autumn Moon'
|
Description: Warm tones of red and orange paint the leaves of this small tree as fall's nip gives it its name, but this maple is no slouch in summer either. Best grown under a high canopy, its yellow green leaves shimmer in the summer sun. In the proper light, an orange under-tone in the leaf can appear almost pink from a distance.
