Hybridized/Introduced By: Paul Cappiello Description: This fine North American native shrub was selected by Dr. Cappiello and John Wachter while both were working at Bernheim Arboretum. The parent plant showed outstanding, cherry red fall foliage and sweetly-scented spring flowers. Fall color seems to develop better in north and mid latitudes.
