TROCHODENDRON aralioides
|
Description: A beautiful broad-leaved evergreen tree reaching 60' and native to Japan, Korea and Taiwan. The common name comes from the flower stamens that spread like the spokes of a wheel. Long in cultivation, strangely it has never really moved into commercial culture and remains a collector/novelty plant, possibly due to its slow growth. It will grow in sun or shade. Cutting grown.
