Description: 'Aurora' has intense red buds that open to pink, then blushed- white flowers in early Spring. It has larger flowers than V. carlesii, on a compact, globe-shaped plant, covered by handsome velvety dark green rounded leaves and copper-tinged new growth. The clove scented fragrance is intoxicating. Summer brings blue-black fruit followed by the reddish-wine shades of autumn color. Winner of an RHS Award of Merit, 'Aurora' was selected from seedlings by Slieve Donard Nursery in Northern Ireland.
