ACER 'White Tigress'
|
Description: A putative hybrid of tegmentosum x capilipes, this tree introduced by Brotzman Nursery of Ohio grows quickly into a lovely specimen, notable for its green and white striped bark and bright maroon young branches. Young trees can grow 2-4 feet annually and produce the most vivid contrasts in colors. Leaves are typical A. tegmentosum, three to six inches wide and about the same in length. Like all stripe-barks, site out of winter sun to avoid bark split.
