ACER palmatum 'Ara kawa'
|
Description: This variety is grown mostly for bonsai as its corky bark lends the impression of great age in even a relatively young plant. It is well suited to container culture, but in the ground grows quickly, forming a shrubby tree that may reach 30 feet in height. Its bright green leaves turn varying shades of red in the autumn.
