TRIDENS flavus
|
Description: A denizen of meadows and old fields, this native warm season grass grows to 4 feet, with purple spikelets in August and September. Purple Top tolerates the poor quality soil often found in hot, dry, sunny roadsides, with potential use for soil stabilization. It's also a welcome addition for late season color in the native landscape.
