SCHIZACHYRIUM scoparium
|
Description: Here’s a breath of fresh air for the traditional landscape! Lover of full sun and poor soils, this former Andropogon is a “drought buster” as well. It grows in loose clusters and branches out at the top, reaching a height of about 3 feet. The leaves of this native warm season grass can be blue, green, or even purple and turn reddish-orange in the Fall.
