IRIS tectorum var alba (SOLD OUT)
|
Description: So named “roof iris” as it was grown in thatched roofs in parts of Japan. Related to our native Iris cristata, which it greatly resembles, only being much larger. Fans of leaves grow to about 16 inches, arching outwards from the center of the clump, which slowly spreads to form a groundcover. White flowers appear in mid May on 18-inch branched scapes. Full sun to part shade.
