Description: Certainly one of the most useful, colorful and dependable perennials you could grow, and a multiple award-winner as well. Plant grows as an upright compact clump of golden to chartreuse foliage. The new growth tips have a reddish cast. If that weren't enough, in June fat spikes of violet purple to blue flowers begin to emerge, gradually expanding to about four inches by August. The flowers last another couple months. Hummingbirds, bees and butterflies are very attracted to the flowers. Anise hyssop will grow in a wide variety of soils as long as they are well drained and once established, it is very drought tolerant as well. Leaves are highly fragrant, having a fresh, minty-licorice scent. The
name 'Golden Jubilee' commemorates the 50-year reign of Queen Elizabeth II, and was introduced by K. Sahin Zaden of Holland.
