R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN 'Philly White' (Satsuki)
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Breeder unknown
Description: A Philadelphia area azalea grower brought this to us as an unnamed azalea after he had spent considerable time trying to find its name himself. So we dubbed it 'Philly White'. It has a gorgeous pure white flower, a huge 3.5 inches across. It looks like a Satsuki…in fact it screams “Satsuki” at you; blooms in late May/early June; foliage is small, very glossy, deep blue-black green. Exceptional! Until someone tells us otherwise, 'Philly White' it is.
