R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN 'August to Frost'
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Matlack/Beaudry Parentage: (R. mucronatum 'Sekidera' var. 'Indica Rosea')
Description: Flower color is white. The plant is compact and spreading. The newest trend in evergreen azaleas is towards repeat bloom, but many of them are not hardy for us. 'August to Frost' is plant hardy here in Zone 6b,(but not bud hardy) and it's a knockout! The name is an apt description of this azalea's behavior. Unlike most azaleas, blooming starts in August and continues into the Fall.
