R. (AZALEA) EVERGREEN 'August to Frost'
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Matlack/Beaudry Parentage: (R. mucronatum 'Sekidera' var. 'Indica Rosea')
Description: Flower color is white. The plant is compact and spreading. The newest trend in evergreen azaleas is towards repeat bloom, but many of them are not hardy for us. 'August to Frost' is hardy here in Zone 6b, and it's a knockout! The name is an apt description of this azalea's behavior. After the May flowering, re-blooming starts in August and continues into the Fall.
