Hybridized/Introduced By: Waterer, pre-1850 Parentage: (maximum X arboreum)
Description: Flowers are clear pink, with a purple blotch. A hardy plant, heat-tolerant, somewhat compact and rounded in form. Leaves are distinctive and large. Southerners speak glowingly of its performance in the warmer areas of the South, but it also performs in the North as well. We've heard it said: "It takes Texas style heat." An oldtimer; give it a try!
