HYDRANGEA macrophylla Queen of Pearls™ 'HYMMAD I'
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Michael Dirr Parentage: 'White Wave' X 'Veitchii' (Rinehart and Reed-08)
Description: A new hydrangea from the "Royal MajesticsTM" Series. Introducer and noted hydrangeaphile Mike Dirr describes Queen of PearlsTM as a "glistening white mophead derived from the white lacecap, 'White Wave'. This selection also offers lustrous dark green bullate foliage, with high resistance to leave diseases. Flowers initiate green, open glistening pure white, and mature to green. The white sepals typically do not spot and age pink like other white hydrangeas. The eye at the center also remains white.
