VERNONIA noveboracensis
|
Description: This stately Eastern US native enlivens damp meadows, roadsides and pastures with an autumnal deep purple haze. Adapts well to any moist location, and may attain heights of 4-7 feet depending on moisture, but does well in poor soil as well. Mother Nature's idea for a companion to yellow daisies and goldenrods! Butterflies love it!
