SILPHIUM asteriscus (SOLD OUT)
|
Description: Unlike other Silphium, this one's only about 3 feet high, with lots of silver dollar-sized, lemon yellow double flower heads. Greek for "little star," asteriscus most likely refers to this plant's star-like flowers. Starry rosinweed has alternate, rather than opposite leaves, unlike its close relative, S. integrifolium. Likes full sun and good drainage. We offer a particularly fine ornamental form of this highly variable native species
