CLEMATIS heracleifolia 'China Purple' (SOLD OUT)

Description: Unusual Chinese non-climbing clematis that can be used in the border. Purple clusters of little, reflexed, tubular flowers sprout all over from July thru September. Broad growing plant has a woody base and dark-green, slightly hairy leaves, divided into three leaflets. Likes sun to partial shade in moist, fertile soil. Prefers a warm top and cool bottom. Will flourish under neutral or even slightly acid conditions. This non-climbing clematis can be used in the border, but needs sturdy surrounding plants or twigs to support it.
