Description: The name comes from its flowers, some of the largest in the genus. These flowers range in color from pale pink to purple-rose and appear in clusters 3-5 inches across on the branching 3-5 foot stems in Summer. The handsome leaves are stiff and leathery. Native to Central and Western North America. Somewhat similar to common milkweed, this is more showy and is not as aggressive a spreader. Full sun, good drainage.
