Description: Although 'Barmstedt Gold' hails from Germany, it is considered to be a superb witch hazel for North American gardens. Strong golden yellow flowers are tinted red at the base, providing a burst of sunshine on dreary winter days. Growth habit is upright when young, later becoming a rounded bush. Dark green foliage turns clear yellow in autumn.
