Description: A recent introduction by Dr. Paul Cappiello. This selection from the coast of Maine forms a low mat of fine-textured evergreen foliage. Needles are a brilliantly glossy deep green in Summer, coloring to a rich mahogany in winter. Excellent as a rock garden or trough plant or for a groundcover in sunny, acidic, well-drained sites.
