CORNUS florida 'Eternal Dogwood' PP 13,069
|
Description: You may have heard of the rare double flowered dogwood before. You may possible have even seen one. Well, how about a quadruple flowered dogwood! Yes, that's right! Blooms on established plants of 'Eternal' average 16-20 bracts, compared to the normal 4! As a bonus, the tree is much more vigorous than the old double variety 'Plena'. Because the flowers are sterile and produce no seed, the blooming season for this tree can typically last up to two weeks longer than a conventional dogwood's blooming season. The leaves are large and healthy green. First blooms usually begin a week after other C. florida in the area.
