Description: Called omoto in Japan, from whence it hails. An evergreen perennial with striking wide, leathery, deep-green leaves. Foliage is thick, forming a vase-shaped clump reaching up to 1' tall with a 2' spread. Plants very slowly increase by offsets to form a colony.
