VIBURNUM prunifolium

Description: A useful and attractive native, blackhaw can be used in the landscape as a large shrub or small tree. Ornamental glossy dark green leaves turn shades of red and burgundy in Fall. Creamy white 2-4 inch clusters (cymes) of flowers in May are followed by clusters of fruit that change in color from pink to red then to black. The fruit is attractive to wildlife, and can also be made into tasty preserves for humans.
