VIBURNUM dilatatum 'Erie'
|
Description: 'Erie' is a selection of linden viburnum with unique coral-red fruits. In mid-May it wears a blanket of creamy white, fuzzy flowers that nearly hides the medium green leaves. Abundant fruit ripens to coral-red in late August, intensifying with cooler weather, and persists till winter's end. A large, pest and disease-resistant shrub, 'Erie' grows well in many different landscape situations. The U.S. National Arboretum introduction was awarded the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society Gold Medal in 1993.
