FOTHERGILLA xintermedia 'Blue Shadow'
|
Description: 'Blue Shadow' is destined to become the most popular Fothergilla cultivar. A bud sport on a young plant of Fathergilla major 'Mt Airy', it was found by Gary Handy, who noticed it because the leaves are blue! In fact the leaves are so glaucous their surface is not glossy like those of 'Mt Airy'. This covering extends to the young branched making them a different color as well. The leaf shape is more round, too. Be the firat to have this new offering.
