FORSYTHIA viridissima Citrus Swizzle™'McKCitrine'
|
Description: A variegated sport of the compact dwarf 'Bronxensis' with creamy margined leaves. The original 'Bronxensis' was grown from a Japanese seed source at the Bronx Botanical Garden, New York, in 1939. It has become a popular landscape plant in the midwest and elesewhere for its great habit and texture, often used as a groundcover or an edge of the border shrub to face down larger plants. With the addition of these boldly variegated leaves, this new variety should become immensely popular. The sport was found by Propagator Dan Moore of McKay's Nursery in Waterloo, WI. Leaves take on a purple cast in the Fall for even more colorific appeal.
