ACER palmatum 'Kurui jishi'
|
Description: “Confused Lion” is one translation of the Japanese name of this plant. An upright dwarf it will probably reach about 6 feet. The dark green leaves' edges are rolled inward, showing the leaf's grey-green underside. The leaf lobes are also cupped upward giving a star-like appearance to the whole leaf. It is most similar to the variety 'Okushimo' but smaller and more compact in both leaf and form. Fall color is yellow.
