RHODODENDRON 'Gretchen'
|
Hybridized/Introduced By: Nearing/Gable Parentage: (decorum x griffithianum x Kettledrum)
Description: A compact grower which grows wider than tall. Well clothed in matte green foliage, the flowers are a delicate multi-hued pink, with a deep purple-red blotch in the throat. Very floriferous, Gretchen was originally called 'Gable's Gretchen', and is the result of the frequent seed sharing between Joe Gable and Guy Nearing. Nearing's 'Rochelle' was named from the same seed batch.
