RHODODENDRON (bureavii X 'Ken Janeck')
|
Description: This unnamed West Coast bred plant could have been done by any number of hybridizers who work with bureavii & yakushimanum but we just don't have the records on this one. A strong, bushy grower with orange indumentum under thick matte green leaves, it is reminiscent of its parents. Has done exceptionally well for us. The flowers you ask? They are typical of what you would expect from the union of these parents: tightly packed trusses of apple blossom pink and white. Needs good drainage, as is true for any hybrid of this type.
