RHODODENDRON brachycarpum (seedlings)
|
Parentage: (species grown from seed collected wild on Mt. Zao, Japan)
Description: We have about 10 husky four year old plants of this tough species, which does extremely well in the eastern three quarters of the USA. A few are budded. We expect the flowers to be pink to white and small. The leaves are very distinctive, namely an elliptical medium-green, with a hint of tan indumentum. This form is dwarf growing and already is forming into a low mound. Use it as a foreground plant.
