Hybridized/Introduced By: Ron Rabideau

Parentage: ['Ada Lohr' aka 'Amber Mist' = ('Janet Blair' x 'Ice Cube') OP seedling] X 'Goldkrone')

Description: This is Ron's first formal introduction. The clear yellow color, compact habit and heavy budding came from Hachmann's 'Goldkrone'. The hardiness, good foliage, bigger flowers with a blotch, and also compact habit came from the mother. The mother (seed) plant is well-tested and hardy to -25°F! Flowers open from medium yellow buds to bright medium yellow with red speckling on the upper lobe. This is so very new, Ron had it micro-propagated to make it quickly available for further testing in a variety of places. Try 'Absolute Citron', we would appreciate hearing your feedback! This plant is very compact and well branched, semi-dwarf, prob to about 2.5 feet high and wide in 10 years. It does best in more light than many big-leaf rhodies(Full sun in a sheltered spot is ok in Massachusetts) and will not do well in deep shade.
